Click Associate Members, Autonomouse receive Emmy award nomination’s for their short form series Rurangi, a ground-breaking Transgender drama series set in rural New Zealand. The series stems from the release of the film in 2020 that received wide praise for the story and film, directed by Max Currie and written by Cole Meyers. “Rūrangi is more than a series – it is a movement to create social change for New Zealand’s gender diverse community by empowering us to tell our own stories and represent ourselves autonomously.”
The film can be watched on NEON with the Emmy awards set for presentation in New York on November 21st.
